Permit Preparation Guide
Pre-submission engineering checklist and process guide for low-risk self-certified residential permits in Kerala.
Workflow Progress
Planning Your Filing
Once you have computed your permit fees and setbacks, this guide converts those isolated calculations into a concrete filing plan.
1. Interpret Outputs
Verify that the setbacks and permit fees calculated in steps 1 and 2 match your working drawing measurements exactly. Discrepancies under the self-certified regime carry significant liability.
2. Prepare Drawings
Assemble your site plan, floor plans, elevations, ownership proofs, and empanelled licensee credentials before starting the online filing process.
3. The Pre-Check Plan
Work through the eligibility criteria, document packages, and NOC matrices below. This checklist serves as your pre-submission quality gate.
Permit Pre-Check List
A. Eligibility Pre-Check Official Requirement
The self-certified building permit route is legally applicable if the proposed building complies with the following rules:
- Occupancy is Group A1 (Residential) [Applicable KMBR/KPBR General Rules]
